2012 Childrens Capital Grant

Green Kids Early Learning was a successful applicant to receive the 2012 Childrens Capital Grant issued by the Victorian Department of Education – DEECD.

As a private family business, we have always had early education at heart. This Grant has allowed our facility to increase our capacity for sessional kindergarten to 60 places. We have put a great amount of thought into our new indoor and outdoor learning play spaces and have architecturally designed these spaces with our kids in mind. Our spaces have been created with the essence of our philosophy integrated – including our community, our environment and our children’s identity. Our outdoor learning space offers areas for literacy, technology, imagination, reflection, rest and more!

At GKEL, we believe in the enjoyment of natural play and have created an outdoor space that fires a child’s imagination within a natural environment. They can:

  • Discover, learn and play on real green grassy mounds
  • Crawl through tunnels
  • Excavate in our sand and dirt pits
  • Throw a line in on the Centre’s boat
  • Climb and pull on the fort with a pulley system
  • Race paper boats down our hand pumped water rhyll system
  • Plant and grow plants in the community veggie garden
  • And much more!
